Kinsey Dhoot (she/her)

Executive Director

       Kinsey is an educator with significant secondary teaching experience, having taught in the Evergreen School District since 2007. She is a graduate of WSU, majoring in social studies and history, and holds a master of education in Curriculum Development and Instruction. She is also National Board certified, trained in Project Based Learning, and has her Montessori Administration Certificate. 

       Outside the classroom, she is a passionate world traveler and a committed community volunteer. Kinsey has visited dozens of countries so far and serves as the past president of our community’s local Rotary chapter. She is also the mother of two Montessori-educated children.

Emery Hutley (they/them)

Montessori Consultant

       Emery Hutley has been involved in Montessori education since 2007 and has worked with students from Primary to Adolescence. Emery earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and their Master's in Secondary Education, and is certified to teach Washington high school students. They also hold Montessori Primary, Elementary, Adolescent, and Administration certification through the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI). Emery is passionate about meeting the varied needs of students and their families, and believes that Montessori education can serve as a pathway for students who may not fit within the traditional model.

       On their downtime, Emery enjoys crafts, reading, and traveling, and is an overbearing cat-parent to Charlie (pictures happily provided upon request).

Ashley Bugge (she/her)

Expedition and Activities Specialist 

       Ashley has many titles and accomplishments, not the least of which are social scientist, polar explorer, documentary film-maker, and award-winning author. She is currently working toward a doctorate of education in organizational leadership and has post-secondary degrees in history and human behavior psychology.

       Outside of school, she uses her skills as a master scuba diver to further her study of biodiversity and explore the last frontiers of our planet. She is the mother of three Montessori-educated children.
